I can't believe it's been a year!!!!

In one week it will be a year since I last posted, wow time flies when you procrastinate....lol. So much has happened that I don't even know where to begin. I have been busy working in the office with Jess and enjoying spending time with my family and friends.
Two new grandchildren have joined our family since the last post. Amanda and Jonathan had a little girl in June. She was born on June 17th ( my mom's birthday) and they named her Aria Louise( Louise is my mom's name). I'm sure mom was smiling down from heaven that day. So now I have 2 granddaughters.... so fun.
On July 13th Ezra Jesse was born to Erin and Darrin. I was so blessed to be able to be in the delivery room with them and welcome him in to this world.  There is something so special about being able to hold a baby that is so recently come from our Heavenly Father. I love it.
Jess and I spent the summer golfing whenever we could slip away from work. So much fun and so much frustration at the same time. By the time I was getting pretty good fall and winter had to arrive... RATS!!!  Oh well there is next year. I can hardly wait. I love spending time with Jess.
We have been able to spend lots of time with our kids either here at home or going to visit them and that is so important to me. I love my family! I will have to post some family pics later.
I will try to be better at posting. I think I kept thinking I had to have pictures to blog and so didn't do it. I will try to be better.
Until later ( and I promise it won't be a year) have a great day!

My Family is Growing

This beautiful angel joined our family on Saturday December 11 around 4 pm. She weighed 7lbs 8oz and was 20 in long. She already has her daddy wrapped around her little finger as well as everone else in the family. Welcome to the world Natalie June. We love you.

JUST CRAFTING

Jess bought a table saw ( he said it was for me and my crafts but I think it's for more than that) so I have been busy with a few fun things.  These are 3 of them and I have a few more that I want to do when I find the sander to make life easier.  I like to do stuff like this, it's relaxing. I need to get at my scrapbooking but this is less work for now.

LET'S SALSA

This is from one of the 3 Salsa making nights I had.

All the ingredients chopped and ready to cook.

All cooked and ready to put in the bottles and process. Still lots to do before bed. Yawn.

The finished product. Now I just have to wait for that lovely popping sound to know they have sealed.
Notice the time.  Not an early night for this old woman but the end product is YUMMY!

What's keeping me busy these days!!!!

Steph is getting married in August so I have been busy these last few days making wedding invitations. My daughter in law Amanda, wonderful girl that she is, has designed the invitation so all I had to do is put them together. This is what they will look like when they are all finished.
So far I have 200 of the 525 invites done. I am hoping to have them all done soon so that I can move on to something else. Bridesmaid dresses perhaps?

Quoth the raven, `Nevermore.'

We were on our way to Fairmont today and decided to stop at a rest spot by the highway to eat some lunch and take a break. While we were sitting there this huge raven decided to come and check us out. I was a little nervous that he was going to fly right into our car as he was not afraid of us at all. I think he was used to bumming food from unsuspecting motorists. Kind of cool but kind of creepy at the same time. I hope seeing a raven isn't an omen for the start of my holiday with my good friend Joan. Lots of golf and also making Steph's wedding invitations.

If this is Narnia would someone please kill the Ice Queen

Ok enough already!!!! It is snowing again today and I am beginning to think spring will never come. I think winter has hung on long enough. I am anxious to plant my garden, go golfing, see green grass(and I will even mow it), go outside without boots and winter coats, and see the sun.
Please go away Ice Queen and let spring come again.
